About the Author:
Andrea L. Simpson has been published in national and international business magazines and Hawaii and Pacific regional newspapers and magazines. Her biography Teacher With a Master Plan: California Superintendent of Public Instruction 1945-63, was published in 2021. Andi is a member of the Historical Novel Society, The Author’s Guild, the Writers and Publishers Network organization, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
She is a graduate of the Yale Writers’ Workshop and UCLA and Stanford University writer’s courses. She has a B.A. in history and a M.Sc. in systems management/information systems from the University of Southern California. She served as Vice President of Corporate Communications for Fortune 500 and Fortune International 100 companies in Hawaii, Texas, and California. She was named Public Relations Professional of the Year and Advertising Woman of the Year in Hawaii, and was awarded the Public Relations Society of America’s Silver Anvil, the national PR profession’s Oscar.
